Correction Algorithm for CTI-harmed Image (2018 - 2019)
My bachelor's graduation project focused on developing a Charge Transfer Inefficiency (CTI) Image Correction Algorithm. Inspired by a question I raised during lectures, I explored a unique methodology that captured the interest of professors and graduate students. Through the application of reverse transfer, I effectively corrected CTI effects and restored images before charge transfer. Utilizing meticulous analysis of point source characteristics, I devised a method to assess the impact of CTI within images accurately. Importantly, the project demonstrated the feasibility of promptly and effectively correcting images by estimating Charge Transfer Efficiency (CTE) values without prior information.
